Anarchy Eyewear Photoshoot

We spent our Sunday at the Casbah here in sunny San Diego doing a photo shoot for Anarchy Eyewear. It was really fun. Of course, there's nothing to complain about when free beer, free professional photos, free advertising, and free amazing glasses come together! We love Anarchy and Angel Eyewear and we think you should love them too. Check them out at www.anarchyeyewear.com and www.angeleyewear.com. And while I'm at it, I'll just drop a quick thanks to Scott for setting it all up, and to Matt from Mad Media and the photographer, Vincent, for helping spread our name!

In other news, we were also in the studio earlier today working on some new songs. If you reside in San Diego, or if you would like to journey out here, mark your calendars for December 13th. It will be our last show for a little while since we're going to be busy writing the new record. We'll be playing a few new songs at the show so be there to be the first to here them!

That's all for now. Peace.
Jon

MySpace update, Angel Eyewear, New Songs, Show, etc.

OK. Some quick updates for y'all. First, I did some minor adjustments to our MySpace. You might notice some new pictures in the member section. They were taken by our good friend Mike Bielecki at Missing Frame Photography. Check out his other work at www.MissingFramePhotography.com.

Second: today, Colleen did a photo shoot for our sponsor Angel Eyewear. The preliminary pics looked awesome, and we can't wait to see them in print. They will be used to advertise some ultra stylish eyewear. Check their products out at www.AngelEyewear.com. We'll let you know what magazines Co will be featured in and when you can expect to find them in stands.

Third: We've been writing and writing and writing a lot! We have tons of new songs, and we have just begun to break the tip of the iceberg on them. So far, all I can say about them is that we really like them, we hope you'll really like them, and that they've been tending to lean towards the darker side of our sound (like "No One Has To Know" or "Moving to Seattle"). Still, it's early in the game to say how our new record will sound, so we'll just have to wait and see/hear. We're going to be playing a few new ones at our show on December 13. Speaking of which...

Fourth: We have a show on December 13th! It's at the Epicentre here in San Diego, CA. This will be our last show for awhile. After it, we're going to be spending most of our time working on more new songs and preparing to record our debut full-length album. We planning a release date of April 2009. It sounds far off, but we'll be posting studio updates, demo versions of songs, and other stuff to keep you coming back (hopefully!) :]

We appreciate all your support. Please continue to spread our name to every you meet. Word of mouth helps us out so much! :]

Peace
Jon | The Material

P.S. If you add our December 13th show flyer as YOUR MySpace default pic, we'll add YOU to our top friends! Do it now, then send us a comment so we know. Thanks again.
